experience:

Fund for the City of New York - 121 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY
Senior Designer / Senior Program Associate - Sept. 2001 to present

As senior designer, I am involved in all facets of graphic media production that include research, content development, information architecture, production and troubleshooting. I develop and design web sites, logos, maps, reports, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, posters, DVD training modules, T-shirts and many other graphical elements to describe and promote our work.

As senior program associate, I develop and help manage ongoing projects of government performance evaluation with both governmental agencies and public sector organizations. By effectively communicating, training and team building with these groups I have helped develop and maintain several strategies and programs such as Citizengauge, an online citizen survey and ComNET, a neighborhood survey program that utilizes handheld computers.

I have also implemented a GIS component into our survey work and have a thorough knowledge of ESRI’s ArcView mapping software. In creating intensity maps, that geo-code survey data to an address, I have expanded our organization’s capabilities to work with high profile business improvement districts and community groups. For example, I consolidated one group’s numerous information systems (from Auto-CAD, Excel, manual reports, and maps) into one mapped database.

Other work includes event planning, extensive “in the field” training of community and business groups, video editing and captioning, and other inventive photo/video projects.

Luminant Worldwide (multimedia advertising firm) - 114 W. 26th St. New York, NY
Senior Web Designer - Feb. 2000 to Nov. 2000

I created and designed corporate websites, email ads, web banners, PowerPoint presentations and multimedia projects for clients such as Sony, Citibank, A&E and The History Channel. I utilized strategy groups for all stages of web development and production. My workload included conceptualizing ideas, logo development, mood or style boards, style guides, presentations to clients, design, production and programming. I was also actively involved in market research and focus groups.

I was the senior designer in creating a new look for studentloan.com (Citibank) and a South American web portal named Mi Canal. I also created the online design for Sony's digital network recorder.

Creative Assistant - June 1997 to Feb. 2000

Assisted creative director in producing, planning and maintaining daily design operations and budget for Sony Style retail stores, Sony Wonder Technology Lab, and Sony Public Plaza Arcade. I assisted in the design of large window displays at Sony U.S.A. headquarters that had an annual budget over one million dollars. I worked on projects that collaborated with high profile creative people such as Martha Stewart, Peter Max, and Maurice Sendak. Our creative group received recognition from Cooper-Hewitt national design museum, The New York Times and Visual Merchandising magazine.

My design experience included the creation of store banners and signs, postcards, brochures and invitations. I also produced multimedia projects including presentations for Sony executives, digital displays and interactive kiosks. I was promoted from a temporary employee to permanent account manager.
